I love when an idea comes together even better than the original thought!

For this 6 x 8 layout, I used Close To My Heart Patterned Papers & Cardstock; except for the black lettering (have no idea where that paper came from).

I used the Chisel Marker Font (cut out with my Cricut) for the black lettering & all the images were cut out with my Cricut as well.

I used my Cricut to write out the word "I would" & to draw the journal lines in the pot. I also used CC Designs Purple Enamel Dots.

The photos on this layout were found on the world wide web.

Photo Sizes: 1.75 x 2.75

Back Story: At the beginning of this year, I decided to make 6 x 8 layouts for my Free Make 'n' Takes at my 12 hour crops for the 2020 year...but with a common theme.

Since many scrapbookers tend to scrapbook about their loved ones and not themselves, all my layouts throughout the year would prompt you to share stuff about yourself.

So, at the end of the year, if you attended all my crops...you would have a mini album all about you. If you weren't able to make one of my crops, I offered to make a kit for that person for a $5 charge.

Well, then the Covid-19 Pandemic happened & all my 12 hour crops at the Community Centre were cancelled. Now I am hosting my First Virtual Crop on NSD & offering to make up kits for the attendees to do on that day.

Panda Bear Cards

I made these two cards to play along with Jaded Blossom's Challenge to make a project with an Animal on it.

This was a quick and simple card that came together quite easily & I love that they are generic and can be used for any occasion. I really need to build up my card stash.

I used Jaded Blossom's Pandas are Awesome stamp set with CTMH's There are No Words stamp set for the heart stamp.

I used patterned papers from my CTMH 6 x 6 Sampler Stash with CTMH White Daisy cardstock. I used Jaded Blossom's Triangle Square Mat Die to make the fun backgrounds on the cards.

Brandi's Birthday Card

Last weekend my cousin, Brandi, "celebrated" her birthday.

I type "celebrated" because with the Covid-19 Pandemic & our province still on lock down to straighten the curve...her birthday was "celebrated" in a very different self-isolating way.

I had so much fun making this card & I love how it turned out.

All the papers are from Doodlebug except for the card base...it is BoBunny Double Dot.

The Cupcake Birthday Sloth SVG is from Kadoodle Bug Designs. I used CTMH's Scalloped Border Punch, MFT's Scalloped Stitched Rectangle Die, Simon Says Scalloped Heart Die, My Creative Time's Stitched Banner Die, CTMH's Heart Dies, MFT's Scalloped Stitched Border Die & Stampin' Up's Label Punch.

I used CTMH's Fairytale Birthday Stamp Set for the Happy Birthday, CTMH's Birthday Hugs & Kisses Stamp Set for the inside sentiment and CTMH's You're Not Old Stamp Set to add small dots to the inside sentiment.

I used Doodlegbug, CC Designs & Your Next Stamp Enamel Hearts & Dots.

Easter Treats

I made these Easter Treat Holders for some of my family as part of their Easter Treat Goodie Bags.

I was planning on making more than this because I still have a few more animals to play with...but that didn't happen.

I bought the SVG's to make these treat holders from Digital Gems.

The only alteration that I made to the design of these treat holders was an "egg holder". I made a square with a 3/4 inch hole in the middle. I would cut out 10 or so of these squares and glue them all together. Then I glued them inside the treat holder so that the chocolate egg would sit nicely inside.

All the papers used for these projects came from my cardstock scrap bin except for the Close To My Heart Hologram Paper that I used on the Unicorn & the Uni-Llama.

The rhinestones on the cat & dog collars are from KaiserCraft.

Happy 79th Birthday Daddy!

Yesterday was my dad's 79th Birthday. Due to the Covid-19 Quarantine, we did not get together to celebrate...but we did drop off a card & gift for him.

I used Doodlebug Patterned Papers with CTMH's White Daisy Cardstock & a Bazzill Brown Cardstock from my scrap bin. To make the sky background paper, I used CTMH's Water Colour Paper with CTMH Lagoon Re-inker mixed with water to sponge the sky background.

I used my Cricut Machine to cut out the trees, My Creative Time's Cloud Dies, a miscellaneous Truck & Licence Plate Die and a miscellaneous Tree Branch Frame Die.

I used Stampin' Up's High Tide Stamp Set for the stamped birds (then I used my scissors to cut them out) and Jaded Blossom's So Many Birthdays 4 Stamp Set.

For my dad's shirt, I designed the "logo" in my Cricut Design Space. I used the Impact Font for the "2" and Arial Narrow for the lettering. I bought the toilet paper roll SVG from Vector.

I used Cricut's White Everyday Iron On Material and used my Cricut Easy Press 2 to heat transfer the design onto the golf shirt. I bought the golf shirt from Wal-Mart.

Auntie Julie's Birthday Card

I made this card for our Auntie Julie's Birthday. She loves dogs.

I used Doodlbug Patterned Papers from my Doodlebug Scrap Bin with BoBunny Poppy Double Dot (this scrap piece of paper still had the name strip on it). I also used CTMH's White Daisy cardstock (to stamp the dog on) & CTMH's Glacier cardstock.

I used CTMH's Banner Wishes (happy birthday), Love My Dog (dog), Rainbow Bridge (heart pawprint) and You are My Happy (inside sentiment) stamp sets.

To embellish the card a bit, I used Stampin' Up's Enamel Heart & Dots and I used MFT's Stitched Scalloped Square Die.

I also did some good old fashion fussy cutting for the heart & the dog.

Easter Card 2020

I love how this card came together. I actually designed the card first with scraps of paper from my BoBunny Scrap Bin and then went looking for the stamps that would fit my design.

I made an 8 x 8 album many years ago for a friend and I had to cut down my 12 x 12 sheets of BoBunny Double Dot for the album. So, I had & I still have a lot of scrap pieces of theses papers.

A while back, I bought some clearance packages of 5 x 7 white card bases & envelopes from Michael's for the envelopes because it was a super good price. I could care less about the white card bases because anyone who knows me...knows the difficulty I have using white cardstock.

So, I cut down the card bases to the size I needed for these cards.

I used CTMH's Bunny Trail and CTMH's Easter Animals stamp sets and MFT's Dies & a miscellaneous bunny die for the inside of the card.

Cameron's Birthday Card

This is the birthday card that I made for our family friend, Cameron, who turned 18 in March.

All the patterned papers are from my CTMH 6 x 6 Sample Stash Pile. The cardstock used on this card was from my CTMH Scrap Bin.

I used CTMH's You're Awesome Stamp Set (mountain & sun), CTMH's Dreams Take Flight Stamp Set (front sentiment) & CTMH's Epic Birthday Stamp Set (inside sentiment).

I used MFT's Oval & Square Stitched Dies and my Cricut Machine to cut out the trees.

Dining Room Sign

Before Covid-19, I was already "stuck" in my house due to my concussion.

So, I have a lot of time on my hands to make design & construction plans to make our house more of a home that fits our needs.

Part of that is making our home more "pretty", but with meaning.

Our home tends to be the place where a lot of family functions happen. One, we have the space & two, I enjoy throwing parties...especially to make sure that our family & friends stay connected.

So, when I saw this quote: "Many have eaten here. Few have died." I just had to make this a part of my dining room decor.

One, because many have eaten here & two, I have never been known for being a good cook.

Last year, to make our yard fit our entertaining needs, we tore down our 16 x 24 deck that has been here since we moved in over 20 years ago.

We saved as many deck boards as we could so that we could reuse them. We have built a playhouse for TJ, a garbage shed, etc.

So, I took one of those deck boards & made this sign.

One edge of the board was roughed up from the elements. The other edge was more protected from the elements and therefore too smooth for my liking. I took the claw end of a hammer & beat up the edge to make both sides look weathered.

I stained the board to match the flooring throughout our main floor by mixing acrylic paints and water.

I then used my Cricut Design Space to design the layout and then cut out the design with my Cricut Machine & Cricut Stencil Vinyl. I used Sharpie Pen Font for the words & the flourish was an image that I already owned. Have no idea where it is from.

I then used my paint that we used to paint our living room walls (tan) & kitchen cupboards (grey) to paint my stencil onto the board.

I absolutely love how this sign turned out and I already have my next boards prepped for my living room sign that I want to make.
