Uncle John's 70th Birthday Card

Earlier this month, we celebrated my Uncle John's 70th birthday with a surprise supper at Tony Roma's with family & friends.

I had so much fun making this card.

I used papers from my CTMH 6 x 6 Sample Stack (most of the papers came from Story by Stacy Short Story Workshop Kit), CTMH Cardstock, BoBunny Double Dot Cardstock, CTMH Seas the Day Dots and MFT Dies.

I used CTMH's You're Not Old Stamp Set, CTMH's Short & Sweet Sentiments Stamp Set for "make a wish", CTMH's Simply Said Alphabet for all the "70s" in the background, CTMH's Documented - Scrapbooking Stamp Set for the "&" & CTMH's Sunny Thoughts for the "Wishing You Warm Birthday Wishes".

I used the following Copic Markers: B18, BG57, C2, C4, C6, E000, E11, E57, E59, G29, R08, R21, R22, W0, W2, W4, W6, Y19, Y21, YG17 & YR04.

Uncle Nig's Birthday Card 2020

Our Uncle Nig celebrated his birthday earlier this week.

This was the card that I made for him using the same papers to make the background that I used in these Valentine's and our Uncle Jim's birthday card.

I used Fancy Pants Timber Grove 6 x 6 paper pad with BoBunny Double Dot Cardstock & MFT's cardstock.

To make the background, I used Jaded Blossom's Triangle Card Mat Die and MFT's Oval Dies for the front sentiment.

I used the following stamps: Birthday - CTMH From Me to You stamp set; hello - Picket Fence stamp set; line of stars - CTMH's New Beginnings stamp set; sending - CTMH's For Family stamp set and for the rest of the inside sentiment - My Creative Time stamp set.

Happy Birthday Uncle Jim!

Today is my Uncle Jim's Birthday, but I saw him a couple of days ago & gave him his card & candy.

Many years ago, I found out that my uncle doesn't really care for hugs. So, that became our thing. Every time I see him, he hopes I will forget to hug him & I make a point of giving him a hug.

So, I try to make his birthday card full of hugs as well. I really succeeded this year. I even have the perfect HUGS stamp that fits nicely on an A2 envelope.

I used Fancy Pants Timber Grove 6 x 6 Paper Pad with BoBunny Double Dot Cardstock & MFT Cardstock.

I used Jaded Blossom's Triangle Card Mat Die to make the background & MFT's Heart Dies.

I used Close To My Heart's Hostess Reward Stamp Set - For Your Heart & Jaded Blossom's So Many Birthdays 4 for the word "birthday".

Trevor's Valentine 2020

Here is the Valentine's Day Card that I made my husband. 

I used Doodlebug Designs Patterned Paper, Bobunny Double Dot Cardstock, MFT Dies, CTMH Heart Die on the inside of the card, Ribbon from Michael's & Doodlebug Designs Enamel Hearts.

I used Close To My Heart's Hawthorn Cardmaking Stamp Set for the "To My Wonderful Husband" stamp, CTMH's Say It All Stamp Set for the "Happy Valentine's Day" stamp and CTMH's Card Chatter Love for the inside sentiments.

Amy & Josh's Valentine 2020

This is the Valentine's Day Card that I made my daughter, Amy & her fiance, Josh.

I used Close To My Heart Gray Patterned Papers from my 6 x 6 Sample Paper Stash & CTMH Cardstock from my cardstock scrap bin.

I used CTMH's Engraved Heart Stamp Set with CTMH Pewter Ink & Stampin' Up Ribbon.

A Latte Love 5 x 7 Card

I made this 5 x 7 "Thinking of You" card to participate in Jaded Blossoms' Monthly Blog Challenge.

Another scrapbooking goal of mine this year is to participate in Jaded Blossom's monthly challenges in hopes that next year I can earn a guest designer spot on their Design Team.

I used Doodlebug Designs Patterned Papers with BoBunny's Double Dot Cardstock. I used Spellbinders Dies, Jaded Blossom's Coffee Dies, La La Land Coffee Bean Heart & Coffee Bean Dies, MFT's Stitched Heart Die (on the coffee cups), CTMH's Donut Thin Cut, CTMH's "love" Thin Cut and CTMH's Heart Stitched Thin Cut (on the inside of the card).

I used Jaded Blossom's Coffee Break stamp set for the sentiments & drew the stitched lines on.

Mom & Dad's Valentine 2020

This is the Valentine's Day Card that I made for my parents.

So I have mentioned before about my scrap bins & my SCT Sampler Stack of papers that I am trying to use up.

Well, I also have a stack of 6 x 6 CTMH paper samples that I am trying to use up.

All the papers, stamps & thin cuts used on this card are from Close To My Heart; except for the Doodlebug Enamel White Hearts on the front of the card.

TJ's Valentine's Day Card 2020

This is the Valentine's Day Card that I made my 8 year old son, TJ.

Once I saw this stamp set, I just had to have it to make my son a card or two.

TJ loves colours, he likes unicorns & what boy doesn't like farts!

I had a BLAST making this card & had just as much fun watching his face light up when he saw the card & then listening to him read the inside sentiment.

I used Doodlebug Designs patterned papers, BoBunny Double Dot cardstock, MFT's Stitched Dies, CTMH's Heart Thin Cuts on the front of the card, CC Design's Unicorn Stamp Set & Dies, CTMH's Beloved Bouquet stamp set for "Happy Valentine's Day" & Cartwright's Moonshine sequins.

Copic Markers used: B000, B02, B24, B29, C0, Y17, YG25 & YR16.

Friend Valentine's Day Cards 2020

I really wanted to make Valentine's Day cards this year because of this new stamp that I bought (the sentiment on the front of the card). I was hoping to make 12 of them to send out...but that didn't happen. I had to settle & be happy that I got 4 made (the last photo is the inside of the card).

I played with my New Jaded Blossom Triangle Card Mat Die to make the backgrounds of these cards. I could of had 6 Valentine's Day cards, but I made two of the cards into birthday cards that I will post at a later date.

I used Fancy Pants Timber Grove 6 x 6 paper, BoBunny Double Dot cardstock, MFT Brown cardstock, MFT Heart Die, Prima Marketing Flowers, Stampin' Up Enamel Gems, Riley & Company Stamp for the front sentiment and CTMH "Happy Valentine's Day" stamp.

Chris' Valentine's Day Card 2020

This is the Valentine's Day Card that I made for my mother-in-law, Chris.

I loved the design so much, that I decided to make another card...but I made it a "thinking of you" card instead.

I still have lots of appropriate sunny yellow patterned papers in my scrap bin, that I plan to make some more of these "thinking of you" cards & I will even make a couple of birthday cards as well. 

It's nice to build a card stash...haven't had a great card stash for a few years now.

All the products used on these cards are from Close To My Heart: Canary Cardstock, White Daisy Cardstock, Canary Patterned Paper, White Glitter Paper, White Shimmer Trim, A Little Sunshine Stamp Set, Card Captions Stamp Set and Happy Valentine's Day Stamp Set.

The only product used that is not from CTMH is the White Sparkly Gumgrops (enamel gems) that are from Your Next Stamp.

Krista's Birthday Card

This is the birthday card that I made for my girlfriend Krista.

I used patterned papers from my Scrapbook & Cards Today Sampler Stack and Bazzill cardstock from my scrap paper tote.

I used CTMH's foil tape and the butterfly was cut out of a piece of paper from the SCT Sampler Stack.

I used Picket Fence's "because i love you" stamp & Simon Says Stamps "Beyotch" and "happy birthday" stamps.

Tanis' 2020 Birthday Card

This is the Birthday Card that I made for my girlfriend, Tanis.

At my 12 Hour Crops, we drink a lot of tea...so I wanted to make her a tea themed card.

I have a stack of 6 x 6 papers that I received from Scrapbook & Cards Today's Sampler Packs from the year 2018 that I have done nothing with. My goal this year is to use up that stack of papers.

So, the patterned papers that I used for this card are from that stack of papers. I used CTMH's White Daisy Cardstock & the other cardstocks are from Bazzill (& my big tote of scrap paper that I am also trying to use up).

I used Stampin' Up's white doily, CTMH's pink enamel gems and Stampin' Up's tea pot die from A Nice Cuppa Stamp & Die Bundle.

The front sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Tea for Two stamp set & the "Happy Birthday" & the hearts on the inside of the card are from CTMH.

TJ's Valentine's

Thank You Digital Gems!

My 8 year old son fell in love with these heart mazes as soon as he saw them on FaceBook. So I bought the SVG & made them his Valentine's for his Grade 3 classmates.

The SVG actually came with the wording "Happy Valentine's Day!" on the front, but my son loves his puns...so I removed what it came with & replaced it with "You Are A-MAZ-ING."

I made 36 of these with my Cricut Machine & was able to use up a lot of scrap pieces of CTMH Colonial White cardstock to make them all. Yeah Me!

I made the mazes 5.65 inches high so that I could cut 6 of them out at a time on my 12 x 12 mat.

For the "You Are A-MAZ-ING.", I used CTMH's Font Artistry on my Cricut & had my machine write it out.

For the "Happy Valentine's Day" on the back, I used CTMH's To My Bestie Stamp Set for "Happy" and CTMH's A Little Everything for "Valentine's Day" with CTMH's Lagoon & Watermelon inks.

The Glitter Hearts in the middle of the maze were a pack of stickers that I bought from the Dollarama last Valentine's Day for $1.25. I still have lots of small hearts on that sticker sheet that I can use.

If the maze had a teal glitter heart, then the back had to be stamped in pink and if the maze had a pink glitter heart on the front, then the back had to be stamped in teal. That is how my son wanted it done. Then he signed all the Valentine's in purple.

I was going to give each child 2 of the these fun multi-colour pencils with their mazes and call it a day, but then my son said that it's Valentine's Day...you have to give candy too!

Fortunately, he wanted to give suckers out with his Valentines and I was able to incorporate them in with the design with the help of some washi tape.

I had my husband cut my multi colour pencils in half, so that they fit nicely with the Valentine's. I bought these pencils on clearance at Ardene's a while back. 12 for $1.00 on Clearance. I knew they would come in handy for loot bags or holiday gifts at some point.

My Comfy Foods 6 x 8 Layout

At my monthly 12 hour crops, I do a free make 'n' take.

For 2020, I thought it would be fun to do a 6 x 8 layout at each crop with the theme "All About Me". Each layout would prompt the participant to share information about themselves. That way at the end of the year they would have a mini album all about themselves.

For this layout, I used CTMH papers from 3 Valentine's Day Themed Paper Packs including this year's Oh My Heart Paper Pack with CTMH's Candy Apple Cardstock.

If you aren't aware, CTMH's cardstock is two-toned. One side is the actual colour & then the back is a lighter shade.

I used CTMH's discontinued scalloped border punch, CC Designs small heart die, Sizzix rectangle die & my Cricut machine to cut out the title using KL Sweet Berries Plump font.

Photos are 1.75 inches.

My First Tunnel Card

One of our friends had to have a pretty invasive surgery, so I made him this Get Well Soon Card.

This was my first attempt at making a tunnel card & I had a lot of fun putting this together.

I used Fancy Pants Beach Bum 6 x 6 Paper Pad, Echo Park Green/Silver Paper and Bazzill & Core'dinations Cardstocks.

I used CTMH's Wild & Free Stamp Set (fish), CTMH's Scenic Route Stamp Set (mountains), CTMH's Card Captions Stamp Set (thinking of you), CTMH's Campin' Fever Stamp Set (lure on back), Stampin' Up High Tide Stamp Set (seagulls) and Jaded Blossom's Speedy Recover Stamp Set (sentiment on the back).

I used CTMH's New England Ivy, Black & Charcoal Inks and Tim Holtz's Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink. I also used MFT's Stitched Oval Dies and the Fisherman Image was cut out using my Cricut Machine.

The mountains, fish, seagulls & lure were all cut out by hand.

I actually enjoy fussy cutting.

Trevor's 45th Birthday Card

My husband celebrated his 45th birthday on January 2, 2020.

This was the card that I made him using Close To My Heart's Spruced Up Paper Packet, CTMH's Spruced Up - Cardmaking Stamp Set & Thin Cuts, CTMH's Every Day Magic Stamp Set, a discontinued CTMH's "Happy Birthday" Stamp Set, CTMH's Espresso & Mink Cardstocks, CTMH's Enamel Dots, CTMH Inks and MFT's Oval Stitched Dies.
