Blue Jay Christmas Cards

I have actually never seen a Cardinal before, but I have seen Blue Jays.

So, I decided to turn my "Cardinal Christmas Cards" into "Blue Jay Christmas Cards".

I used BoBunny's Candy Cane Lane Patterned Papers with BoBunny Double Dot Cardstock and CTMH's French Vanilla Cardstock.

For the front of the card, I used CTMH's Holly Jolly Christmas Stamp Set and for the inside of the card, I used CTMH's Very Merry Stamp Set.

I also used a miscellaneous birch tree & bird die set.

Cardinal Christmas Cards

These cards may look a little familiar. Well, I loved the design of my sister-in-law's birthday card so much that I turned it into a Christmas Card.

One of my goals that I gave myself at the beginning of the year was to try and make at least one Christmas Card per week. 

I haven't been doing too well with that. Today, I should have 13 Christmas Cards made, but I only have 5 completed. With my husband now laid off due to Covid-19, maybe I will be able to find more craft time because Trevor can now keep our son busy for me.

I used Green Patterned Paper from Close To My Heart's Grateful Heart Line, Ella & Viv Paper Company - Aspen Trees Patterned Paper, Gray BoBunny Double Dot Cardstock with CTMH's White Daisy Cardstock, CTMH's Mink Cardstock, Bazzill Red Cardstock and Bazzill Black Cardstock.

For the front of the card, I used CTMH's Holly Jolly Christmas Stamp Set and for the inside of the card, I used CTMH's Very Merry Stamp Set.

I also used a miscellaneous birch tree & cardinal die set.

Wonderful Fabulous You Birthday Card

This is the 5 x 6 card that I made for my sister-in-law, Karen, whose birthday was earlier this week.

Many people ask me, where do you get your ideas from for your cards and layouts. I always have a hard time explaining how my brain works...but I am going to give it a try.

While celebrating my mom's birthday in January, Jim & Karen dropped by to wish mom a happy birthday. While mom was opening gifts, Karen saw something...I cannot remember what it was. 

Anyways, she leaned over to my brother, Jim, and quietly said: "That looks like the black & white birch trees that we saw at Vanderwees today. If it had the red cardinal in it, it would be perfect."

A week later, I saw this die set for sale on FaceBook and that conversation popped into my head. So, I bought the birch tree die set to make this card for Karen's Birthday.

What can a say...I am a bit weird...but that is how my brain works.

I used Ella & Viv Paper Company - Aspen Trees Patterned Paper, Patterned Papers from my CTMH 6 x 6 Sampler Stash with Bazzill Red & Black cardstocks.

I used CTMH's Fabulous You Stamp Set & CTMH's Card Chatter - Birthday Stamp Set and a miscellaneous oval birch trees & cardinal die set.

Love & Hugs Thinking of You Card

This 5 x 7 card is similar to the one I posted two days ago. 

I just changed up the front layout a bit and the colour palette. 

All the patterned papers are old Close To My Heart paper lines with CTMH Thistle and White Daisy cardstocks. I also used CTMH's White Enamel Dots and Purple Enamel Hearts.

For the front of the card, I used CTMH's Paper Garden Stamp Set for the flower image and CTMH's Comfort Stamp Set for the Love & Hugs sentiment. For the inside of the card, I used Stampin' Up's Rooted in Nature Stamp Set.

Love & Hugs Sympathy Card

I made this sympathy card for a very special person who loss her mom unexpectedly at the end of January.

Her mom's favourite flower was red carnations.

I love how this 5 x 7 card turned out, that I have made more of them for my card stash...but changed it up a bit because I wanted this one to remain a one of a kind.

All the patterned papers are from old lines of Close To My Heart and I matched them up with CTMH's Cranberry & White Daisy cardstocks. The Red Enamel Dots are also from CTMH.

For the front of the card, I used CTMH's Paper Garden Stamp Set for the flower image and CTMH's Words of Comfort Stamp Set for the Love & Hugs sentiment. For the inside of the card, I used Stampin' Up's Rooted in Nature Stamp Set.

Teariffic Birthday

I had a lot of fun making this card back in January.

I had enough paper that I was able to make a few extra for my stash.

I used patterned papers from my 6 x 6 SCT Sampler Stash with a CTMH's red patterned paper from my CTMH Scrap Bin. I used CTMH's White Daisy cardstock with Bazzill teal & yellow cardstocks.

I used Jaded Blossom's Tea for Two stamp set, CTMH's Yellow Enamel Dots, My Creative Time's Tea Cup Die & CC Designs Flower & Heart Dies.

Fabulous Birthday Card

Here is another fun birthday card that I made back in January.

The patterned papers are from my 6 x 6 Scrapbook and Cards Sampler Paper Pile. The cardstock used on this card is from Close To My Heart & Bazzill. I had enough paper to make a few of these cards. It's nice to start building my stash pile up again.

I used an old CTMH Stamp Set for the sentiments on this card and I used Stampin' Up and MFT Dies for the shapes that were used on this card.
