Bees Knees #2 Valentine's Day Card

Well, I was looking through an old magazine the other day and this fun fold card design caught my eye and I just had to try it.

It's a great card style to make to include a gift card. I decided to use the pocket to hold my sentiment for the card.

I used Echo Park's Country Drive Sundress & Leafy Tree Tops two-sided patterned papers with Bazzill African Daisy & Rain cardstock and We R Memory Keepers Black Widow Ghost cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used a BoBunny Buttercup Dahlia flower, BoBunny Buttercup lace, CTMH brad, MFT Whip Cream ribbon and embroidery floss from my stash. I also used Martha Stewart's button punch and Provo Craft's Hugs & Kisses Embossing Folder.

I used CC Designs Bees Knees Logos stamp set and CTMH's Soul Mates & February Word Puzzle stamp sets with CTMH Twilight Ink & Black Momento ink.

All Day...Just Drop on By.

I love the Valentine's Day card that I came up with so much that I have been mass producing them. I have 44 of these cards made with 11 different paper variations. I raided my scrap bin and pulled out any patterned paper that I thought would work for this design.

Then I thought this would be a quick, easy & fun make 'n' take to offer in the store as DAT'S last type of workshop before shutting down.

I have prepped the card so that it will only take you about 10 - 15 minutes to make and all you need to bring are a pair of scissors, glue pen, your regular card making adhesive & tweezers if you usually use them when card making.

I used American Craft's Fresh Squeezed Strawberry Spread, Echo Park Sunshine Words & My Mind's Eye On the Bright Side Orange Wood two-sided patterned papers with Curry Spice Bazzill cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used a small EK Success heart punch and made my own banner.

I used CC Designs Bees Knees Logos stamp set and CTMH's Soul Mates & February Word Puzzle Stamp Sets with CTMH Lagoon ink & Black Momento ink.

To colour in the bumble bee, I used Stampin' Up's Crushed Curry marker and .1 Copic Multiliner. I used the same Copic Multiliner to draw out the dashed out lines.

Hope to see you Thursday!

Store Hours on Thursday are 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Gopher It Birthday Card

I used TPC Studio The Great Outdoors Canteen Stripe two-sided patterned paper with Bazzill Dark Brown Suede & Navel cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used buttons from Fabricland, embroidery floss from my stash and Stampin' Up ribbon.

I used Whipper Snapper Gopher & Gopher sentiment stamps and MFT All Smiles stamp set.

To Copic Colour the image, I borrowed Shanna's copic markers during our scrapbooking day and I can't find the piece of paper that I wrote the copic marker colours down on. Sorry about that!

I made 6 of these cards for my stash.

Matthew's Confirmation Card

This is the card that I made for my nephew's confirmation this past Sunday.

I am not religious, so I make my cards from a non-religious point of view. I am proud of him and this is a big deal to him, so it's a big deal to me.

He is an avid hunter, fisherman and all around outdoors man. So I thought that these patterned papers were perfect for his card.

I used Doodlebug's Boys Only 6 x 6 paper pack with Bazzill Dusk & Rain cardstock.

I embellished the card with Bazzill Brads, a hammered down bottle cap, Little Yellow Bicycle star pin, American Craft ribbon and embroidery floss from my stash.

I used MFT's Vertical Greetings & Die-namics stamp set & die-cut and one of CTMH's promotional stamp sets that does not have a name on it.

Shanna's 2012 Birthday Card

It was my best-friend, Shanna's, birthday last week and this was the card that I made for her.

I had a lot of fun playing with My Favorite Things felt. It cuts beautifully with a straight cutter and with nestabilities.

I used BoBunny's Powder Mountain 6 x 6 paper pack with BoBunny Powder Blue Double Dot cardstock and My Favorite Things (MFT) Night Shift Blue Cardstock.

A Big THANK YOU goes out to Caroline for giving me a piece of Powder Blue Double Dot paper. I cut my last piece at the wrong size and Caroline dug a piece out for me so that I could finish my card.

To embellish the card, I used MFT Night Shift Blue Felt & Buttons, BoBunny Denim Blue Bouquet Flowers & Lace and embroidery floss from my stash. I also used Spellbinders Labels Four & Labels Four Small Nestabilities and one of Martha Stewart Border Punches.

I used CTMH's Card Chatter - Birthday and Bundled Buddies stamp sets with Stampin' Up Night of Navy Ink.
