Congratulations Shanna!

Congratulations Shanna!

Shanna's sister gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in August and Shanna is one of the proudest aunt's that I have ever seen (next to Brandi with my son...of course).

So, I wanted to make her a card to help her celebrate her new nephew.

I used BoBunny's Apple Cider 6 x 6 paper pad with BoBunny Chocolate Dot cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used Stampin' Up Ribbon, We R Memory Keepers brads and an Action Wobble to make the shirt wobble back & forth like you are rocking a new baby.

I used My Favorite Things Girl Shirt Die-Cut with letters cut out from the Alphalicious Cricut Cartridge.

The "congratulations" on the inside of the card is from Stampin' Up's Delightful Dozen stamp set.

To see the beautiful baby boy, you can go to Shanna's blog.

Love Never Melts Card with Gift Card Pocket

Here's a fun card. This card has a built in gift card pocket. I cut out the base of the card with Close to My Heart's New Artiste Cricut Cartridge.

I used BoBunny Mistletoe 6 x 6 paper pad with Bazzill Prismatic White & Ruby Slipper cardstock.

To embellish the card I used Queen & Co. Shamrock Green Pearls & an EK Success Border Punch.

I used CTMH's Flakey Friends Stamp Set & CTMH's Very Merry Christmas Stamp Set (which is CTMH's October Stamp of the Month) with CTMH Topiary ink.

To colour in the snowman image, I water coloured with Tim Holtz's refillable water brush, CTMH Topiary ink and Tim Holtz Spiced Marmalade, Frayed Burlap & Fired Brick Distress Inks.

Wise Old Owls Birthday Card

For this card, I used CTMH's Dakota Paper Packet with Bazzill Bitter Chocolate cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used my mom' sewing machine to do a zig zag stitch in burgundy thread.

Here is my funny story. As you know, I don't have a scrap room right now and I have been borrowing tools and supplies from my family & girlfriends. I am very appreciative for all their support and generousity throughout my flood predicament.

Anyways, I used Shanna's, Jennifer's & my mom's sewing machines for three different cards and when I went to use their machines they already had the perfect colour thread in them....off white, brown & burgundy. What are the odds!?

I used CTMH's Spellbound Cricut Workshop Stamp Set & CTMH's Just a Number stamp set with Black Momento ink.

I have now used the Spellbound stamp set on two cards and neither one of them have been a Halloween card. You won't see the other card until sometime in September for the recipient's birthday isn't until then.

Our Hearts Are With You

I used CTMH La Belle Vie Paper Packet with Bazzill Kraft & London Fog cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used a Maya Road Chocolate Vintage Stick Pin, Binding Ribbon from Vintage Pixie, EK Success Medium Folk Heart Punch, EK Success Medium Corner Rounder & an EK Success Border Punch.

Until the end of August, Vintage Pixie has a 40% off sale going on throughout their entire store. This includes all their Binding Ribbon; which is normally $1.00 a yard.

I used CTMH's Jardin Flair Stamp Set & CTMH's Words of Comfort Stamp Set with CTMH Cocoa Ink. Both stamp sets are new to the Fall & Winter catalogue.

To attend our Charity Stamping Party, we ask that you R.S.V.P. by Sunday, August 26, 2012 so that we can prep appropriately. For more information, please go to DAT'S Scrapbooking's blog.

Scarecrow Thank You Card

For this card I used Simple Stories Summer Fresh 6 x 6 paper pad with Bazzill London Fog.

To embellish the card, I used Shanna's sewing machine and did a straight stitch with an off white thread, Basic Grey Button, Wraphia from my stash, miscellaneous flower & twine.

The stamp sets I used are CTMH's A Little Thanks and CTMH's Fall Favorites - September's Stamp of the Month.

As most of you know, I have been living with my parents since the flood on May 28th. In June, their shower broke, so we had to shower in their trailer parked in the drive way or at my grandparent's apartment.

At the beginning of August, their dryer broke and it took about 3 weeks to fix. So, one evening while Shanna was out of town, I went to her house to dry clothes. While my clothes were drying I made this card.

I picked this card to do there so that I could use her copic markers, but when I got there and saw the Tim Holtz Distress Markers sitting out, I quickly changed my mind. This was my first time using them and I had fun.

I stamped my image with Momento Black Ink on Copic White paper. I coloured the image in with the distress markers. I then took Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink Pad and rubbed it over my image and the white space around it.

I then crumpled my paper up to give it more of a worn look and voila!

Tim Holtz Distress Markers and Inks are made not to muddy each other but maintain their colour when mixed. That is why I was able to change the white background paper with the Antique Linen Ink Pad.

If you love this stamp set as much as I do, you can order it at our Charity Stamping Party on August 30th. We are placing the Close to My Heart order on September 1st so that we can purchase the September Stamp of the Month instead of August's Stamp of the Month.
