Grade Four Virtual School Teachers' Gifts

Grade Four Virtual School Teachers' Gifts

These are the Teacher's Gifts that TJ & I came up with this year for his Main Teacher - Mr. Sebesta, his Art Teacher - Mr. Barry and his French Teacher - Mr. McKillop.

I bought the water bottles & canvas totes at Michaels and used my Cricut Machine with Vinyl to personalize the items. The font is Chisel Marker.

For the card, I used Close To My Heart's Sunburst Die for the background with Doodlebug Patterned Papers.

I used Close To My Heart's Thanks For Being You Stamp Set for the "Thank You" sentiment with MFT's Stitched Circle Die and a miscellaneous stitched burst die.

The words on the inside of the card were printed off my computer.

I asked my cousin, Jason, who is also the owner of Grumpa's Baits, to make me spinners with primary colours to have a school theme to them.

Trevor was in charge of picking up candy for the gifts. He did a great job in my opinion...Kit Kat Bars because of the "Gimme a Break" commercials and Riesen candies because of no reason...but that they are just yummy.

EVERYONE IS AWESOME

EVERYONE IS AWESOME LEGO SET

I love my New Lego Set, but I thought it really should have incorporated the name of this set into the design.

So, since Lego didn't...I did.

I used my Cricut Machine to cut out some Glitter Gold Vinyl and I love how it turned out...so did my husband, Trevor & my son, TJ when they saw what I had done.

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!

Trevor's 46th Birthday Card

This is the Birthday Card that I made for my husband this year.

Due to the pandemic, Trevor was off work for 7 months and during that time, I got more into his car shows with him. One of my favourites now being Vegas Rat Rods.

So, I really wanted to make him a birthday card using this stamp.

I used Simple Stories Heart Patterned Paper with Close To My Heart's Gray Cardstock and Gold Foil Paper.

I distressed the edges of the papers with CTMH's Outdoor Denim Ink.

I used MFT's Stitched Heart Dies, Simon Says Heart Die and Stampin' Up Ribbon.

The Car Stamp & Die is from Honey Bee's Car Show Set and the sentiments on this card are from CTMH's On Your Birthday Stamp Set with a random "Happy Birthday" stamp that is also from CTMH.

I loved how the card turned out and he loved it too!

Gnome Perpetual or Event Calendar

Gnome Event Calendar Workshop

Well, I started out in early Fall designing this calendar in hopes to have it done by November 21, 2020...but it was 2020 and pretty much everything that I planned in 2020 did not work out the way I wanted it to.

I needed a New Event Calendar for myself, thought it would be a good Christmas Gift idea for my parents and then thought why not offer it as a workshop as well.

My mom & son have a Gnome Thing together and with TJ home with me 24/7...he kind of encourages me to buy lots of Gnome Scrapbooking supplies...not that I need much encouragement.

So, I decided to put all my Gnome Supplies to good use.

I used SVGs, Simon Says Stamps & Dies, CTMH Stamps & Dies, Photo Play Stamps & Dies, Jaded Blossom Stamps and various other companies for papers & embellishments.

When I was left alone in my scrap room to create, I had a blast and got lost in the process. It felt good.

FYI, my 9 year old, busy body, not so quiet son is still doing Virtual School in my Scrap Room...so that is FUN and didn't leave me a lot of time to create alone in my Scrap Room.

Nonetheless, I love how it turned out.

July is probably my favourite month because it is totally "Thunder Bay Canadian". Thunder Bay is known for our beautiful Sleeping Giant attraction.

November is my second favourite, but I think that is because it was the first gnome stamp that I bought and I was so excited to finally use it.

I am very proud of how I was able to incorporate Thanksgiving & Halloween together with the help from Photo Play's Thanksgiving Gnome Stamp Set...that gnome dressed up as a turkey is WAY TOO CUTE!

FYI...Thanksgiving & Halloween are both in October for us Canadians and where we live...we normally always have snow in November.

Happy New Year!

Smile Birthday Card

Yay...Challenge Completed!

I wanted to make a card with each of Close To My Heart's 4 New Background Thin Cuts & I did it!

For this Birthday Card, I used Close To My Heart Patterned Papers & Cardstock with CTMH's Floral Background Thin Cut.

I used MFT's Stitched Oval Dies.

I used the following CTMH Stamp Sets: You Brighten My Day (smile), Birthday Greetings (It's Your Birthday), October Stamp of the Month - With All My Love (sending love & happy birthday) & Stitch Wonder for the stamped stitches.

Heart Tree Christmas Card

I wanted to make a card with all the heart cut outs from the card that I posted yesterday (Bumble Bee Birthday Card with heart background).

So, I used the hearts to make fun trees and turned it into a winter themed Christmas Card.

I used Close To My Heart's Patterned Paper & Cardstock with CTMH's Stitched Lattice Background Thin Cut.

I also used MFT's Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Dies.

I used CTMH's Love With All the Trimmings Stamp Set for the front sentiment and the inside sentiment was from CTMH's D1512 Christmas Stamp Set (it's an old set with no name on the envelope).

HAP-BEE BIRTHDAY CARD

I love how this Bee Themed Birthday Card came together.

I couldn't find an appropriate "Bee" themed sentiment for the front of my card, so I made it on my computer. Funny enough, the font that I used is called Bumble Bee.

I used Close To My Heart's Patterned Papers & Cardstock with CTMH's Hearts Background Thin Cut.

I also used MFT's Stitched Rectangle Die and a Miscellaneous Daisy Die & a Stitched Banner Die.

I used CTMH's Bumble Bee Stamp & Die with Copic Markers Y18 & 110.

For the inside sentiment, I used CTMH's Curly Sentiments Stamp Set & Stampin' Up's Touches of Texture Stamp Set for the inside small bumble bee.

Thinking of You Free Make 'n' Take Card

 Thinking of You Card
Free Make 'n' Take at my
Backyard Stamping Gathering
Thursday, September 10, 2020
4 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Trevor will be serving Hot Apple Cider and maintaining the bon fire for us during this Covid Friendly Event.

For those of you attending, please bring your own tape, glue pen & scissors...less sharing of tools equals less sharing of possible bad germs.

For my card, everything will be cut out for you and stamped out as well, all you will be doing is putting the card together.

My goal for this card was to keep it simple and only use one stamp set.

Yay Me! I accomplished that goal and I love how it turned out.

I used Close To My Heart's Cardstock with one of CTMH's New Background Thin Cuts - Olive Branches. I also used MFT's Stitched Oval Die for the front sentiment.

For the inside of the card, I used the same background thin cut and just cut away what I didn't want.

I used CTMH's Treasured Memories Stamp Set.

Close To My Heart's Background dies are exactly 4.25 x 5.5 in size; which is a perfect fit for the front of the card.

In order for the die cut to fit on the inside of the card, I had to make my card base a smidge bigger in order for the die cut to fit with the crease from the fold on the inside of the card.

My card base is actually 4.375 X 5.563.

Thinking of You Motion Card

This Thinking of You Card was my first attempt at making a "Motion" Card. Funny thing though...I never got to see it in motion because my concussion symptoms did not like it every time that I tried to see if it worked.

So, I had to trust my husband that the card worked the way it was supposed to. Then when my girlfriends came by to sign the card, they reassured me that it was working the way it was supposed to.

When you move the black piece of paper with the dragonflies on it back & forth behind the black striped piece of acetate, it makes the dragonflies look like they are moving.

There was around a dozen of us signing this card for our friend whose dad passed away, so that is why I made both sides of the inside of this card "pretty".

I absolutely loved how this card turned out. It looks so much better in person because I couldn't get the gold foil paper to scan or photograph nicely.

I used Close To My Heart's White Daisy & Black Cardstocks, CTMH Gold Foil Heart Patterned Paper & CTMH's Gold Foil Paper.

I used CTMH's Animation (Motion) Sheet & Your Next Stamp's Black Enamel Dots.

I used CTMH's Border Tab Thin Cut, CTMH's Stitched Heart Thin Cuts, Sizzix Grand Labels Twenty-Three Die, MFT's Stitched Rectangle Die, Jaded Blossom's Border Die and My Creative Time's Stitched Banner Dies.

All the Stamp Sets that I used on this card were from CTMH: Border Tab (pull here), Animated Butterfly Kisses (dragonfly), So Many Smiles (Thinking of You), Words of Comfort (inside sentiment).

Our friend loved the card.

Daddy's Father's Day Card & Gift

I made this Fun Fold Card & Shirt with my Cricut Machine & my Cricut Easy Press.

I used Doodlebug Patterned Paper with Bazzill Cardstocks.

I used Close To My Heart's Just to Say Stamp Set for the "Happy Father's Day", CTMH's Atomic Numbers for the "1" and the "You're the Best Dad by Par" sentiment was written out with my Cricut.

For the shirt, I used the Bernard MT Condensed Font.

Trevor's Father's Day Card

This is the Father's Day Card that I made for my husband this year.

He loves Tiger Lilies. So, when MFT Stamps came out with this lily die set, I just had to have it.

I used Doodlebug Patterned Papers with Bazzill Teal, Orange & Green Cardstocks & CTMH White Daisy Cardstock.

I used Stampin' Up's A Good Man Stamp Set and CTMH's Short & Sweet Stamp Set for the Happy Father's Day Sentiment.

I used MFT's Lily Die Set & Stitched Oval Dies and My Creative Time's Stitched Banner & Stitched Heart Dies.

Angie Blom Digital Design Creations' June Challenge

I designed this card for Angie Blom Digital Design Creations' June Colour Challenge - Yellow, Grey, Blue.

This is a challenge that is posted on her Facebook Page.

Angie Blom is an amazing artist who designs fabulous images for us to craft with.

I first fell in love with her when she designed rubber stamps for Unity. Recently, she took the plunge to go out on her own and start her own digital store - Angie Blom Digital Designs.

Not only is she an amazing, creative, and beautiful woman from the inside out...she is Canadian!

Even though I am not a big fan of using digital stamps, I want to support this Fabulous Canadian Woman.

So, when her first challenge was posted on June 1, 2020, I told myself that I had to make a point to play along.

Nothing like leaving it to the last possible moment...I was finally able to get into my scrap room last night to play along and I LOVE how this card turned out.

I used Angie Blom's Camping Adventures Digital Set for the lantern, Excites the Spirit Bird Digital Set for the front sentiment and Fabulous as Always Digital Set for the inside sentiment of this 6 x 6 card.

I used a Spellbinder Die and the zig zag stitch on my sewing machine to embellish the card and all the papers I used are from Close To My Heart.

I used Copic Markers: C1, C5, C6, W3 & Y26.

Teacher End of School Year Gift

This is the Canvas Bag that I made for TJ's Grade 3 Teacher for her End of School Year gift (the bottle of wine was for her & her husband).

I used my Cricut Machine to cut out the red heat transfer vinyl (Cuttin' Up Font) & my Cricut Easy Press 2 to transfer the words onto the bag.

I bought the canvas bag at Hobby Lobby when I was in Duluth last December.

Mrs. Shewchuk sent me a photo of her holding up her bag and thanked us for the gift and informed us that it is already filled up with books.

One of her favourite things to do with her students is read to them. So, when we went to E-Learning, she recorded herself reading books so that she could still do that with her students...like I mentioned yesterday...she is an AWESOME TEACHER.

Teacher's End of School Card, Envelope & Tag

TJ's Grade 3 Teacher, Mrs. Shewchuk, is an amazing teacher. From the first time I met her, I knew she was truly doing her calling in life.

When the pandemic hit and we switched to E-Learning until the end of this school year, Mrs. Shewchuk went above and beyond to give her students the guidance they needed.

I always do holiday gifts and year end gifts for my children's Elementary School Teachers, but this year I really wanted to make TJ's teacher feel appreciated because of the interesting times that we are living in.

Fortunately, my parents are friends with Mrs. Shewchuk's parents and I was able to get my card & gift personally delivered.

The first two photos are the front & inside of my 6.5" x 5.5" card.

I used Doodlebug patterned papers with CTMH Glitter Paper, Bazzill cardstock & Copic paper.

I used Jaded Blossom's Caught a Virus Stamp Set for the masked virus image and CTMH's Teacher Appreciation Stamp Set for the sentiments.

I used The Greeting Farm's "Thank You" die, CC Design's Stitched Banner Die, MFT's Stitched Rectangle Regular & Scalloped Dies and EK Success' Zig Zag Border Punch.

Copic Markers: YG17, YG25 & B28.

You can't tell in the photo, but I used CTMH's Clear Shimmer Brush on the blue mask to give it a bit of sparkle.

TJ didn't want me to use googly eyes on this card because he likes the "cutie eyes"

The next two photos are of the envelope I made for the card.

I used Doodlebug's School Themed Stickers to spruce up the envelope.

The last two photos are of the front & back of the tag that I made for the bottle of wine that I bought for Mrs. & Mr. Shewchuk. Mr. Shewchuk also worked in my son's classroom as an Educational Assistant and participated in the Zoom Classes as well.

I cut the apple image and the word "ENJOY!" out with my Cricut Machine (Crispin Font) and the "SURVIVED" sentiment was printed out from my computer.
