Thinking of You Free Make 'n' Take Card

 Thinking of You Card
Free Make 'n' Take at my
Backyard Stamping Gathering
Thursday, September 10, 2020
4 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Trevor will be serving Hot Apple Cider and maintaining the bon fire for us during this Covid Friendly Event.

For those of you attending, please bring your own tape, glue pen & scissors...less sharing of tools equals less sharing of possible bad germs.

For my card, everything will be cut out for you and stamped out as well, all you will be doing is putting the card together.

My goal for this card was to keep it simple and only use one stamp set.

Yay Me! I accomplished that goal and I love how it turned out.

I used Close To My Heart's Cardstock with one of CTMH's New Background Thin Cuts - Olive Branches. I also used MFT's Stitched Oval Die for the front sentiment.

For the inside of the card, I used the same background thin cut and just cut away what I didn't want.

I used CTMH's Treasured Memories Stamp Set.

Close To My Heart's Background dies are exactly 4.25 x 5.5 in size; which is a perfect fit for the front of the card.

In order for the die cut to fit on the inside of the card, I had to make my card base a smidge bigger in order for the die cut to fit with the crease from the fold on the inside of the card.

My card base is actually 4.375 X 5.563.

Thinking of You Motion Card

This Thinking of You Card was my first attempt at making a "Motion" Card. Funny thing though...I never got to see it in motion because my concussion symptoms did not like it every time that I tried to see if it worked.

So, I had to trust my husband that the card worked the way it was supposed to. Then when my girlfriends came by to sign the card, they reassured me that it was working the way it was supposed to.

When you move the black piece of paper with the dragonflies on it back & forth behind the black striped piece of acetate, it makes the dragonflies look like they are moving.

There was around a dozen of us signing this card for our friend whose dad passed away, so that is why I made both sides of the inside of this card "pretty".

I absolutely loved how this card turned out. It looks so much better in person because I couldn't get the gold foil paper to scan or photograph nicely.

I used Close To My Heart's White Daisy & Black Cardstocks, CTMH Gold Foil Heart Patterned Paper & CTMH's Gold Foil Paper.

I used CTMH's Animation (Motion) Sheet & Your Next Stamp's Black Enamel Dots.

I used CTMH's Border Tab Thin Cut, CTMH's Stitched Heart Thin Cuts, Sizzix Grand Labels Twenty-Three Die, MFT's Stitched Rectangle Die, Jaded Blossom's Border Die and My Creative Time's Stitched Banner Dies.

All the Stamp Sets that I used on this card were from CTMH: Border Tab (pull here), Animated Butterfly Kisses (dragonfly), So Many Smiles (Thinking of You), Words of Comfort (inside sentiment).

Our friend loved the card.

Daddy's Father's Day Card & Gift

I made this Fun Fold Card & Shirt with my Cricut Machine & my Cricut Easy Press.

I used Doodlebug Patterned Paper with Bazzill Cardstocks.

I used Close To My Heart's Just to Say Stamp Set for the "Happy Father's Day", CTMH's Atomic Numbers for the "1" and the "You're the Best Dad by Par" sentiment was written out with my Cricut.

For the shirt, I used the Bernard MT Condensed Font.

Trevor's Father's Day Card

This is the Father's Day Card that I made for my husband this year.

He loves Tiger Lilies. So, when MFT Stamps came out with this lily die set, I just had to have it.

I used Doodlebug Patterned Papers with Bazzill Teal, Orange & Green Cardstocks & CTMH White Daisy Cardstock.

I used Stampin' Up's A Good Man Stamp Set and CTMH's Short & Sweet Stamp Set for the Happy Father's Day Sentiment.

I used MFT's Lily Die Set & Stitched Oval Dies and My Creative Time's Stitched Banner & Stitched Heart Dies.

Angie Blom Digital Design Creations' June Challenge

I designed this card for Angie Blom Digital Design Creations' June Colour Challenge - Yellow, Grey, Blue.

This is a challenge that is posted on her Facebook Page.

Angie Blom is an amazing artist who designs fabulous images for us to craft with.

I first fell in love with her when she designed rubber stamps for Unity. Recently, she took the plunge to go out on her own and start her own digital store - Angie Blom Digital Designs.

Not only is she an amazing, creative, and beautiful woman from the inside out...she is Canadian!

Even though I am not a big fan of using digital stamps, I want to support this Fabulous Canadian Woman.

So, when her first challenge was posted on June 1, 2020, I told myself that I had to make a point to play along.

Nothing like leaving it to the last possible moment...I was finally able to get into my scrap room last night to play along and I LOVE how this card turned out.

I used Angie Blom's Camping Adventures Digital Set for the lantern, Excites the Spirit Bird Digital Set for the front sentiment and Fabulous as Always Digital Set for the inside sentiment of this 6 x 6 card.

I used a Spellbinder Die and the zig zag stitch on my sewing machine to embellish the card and all the papers I used are from Close To My Heart.

I used Copic Markers: C1, C5, C6, W3 & Y26.

Teacher End of School Year Gift

This is the Canvas Bag that I made for TJ's Grade 3 Teacher for her End of School Year gift (the bottle of wine was for her & her husband).

I used my Cricut Machine to cut out the red heat transfer vinyl (Cuttin' Up Font) & my Cricut Easy Press 2 to transfer the words onto the bag.

I bought the canvas bag at Hobby Lobby when I was in Duluth last December.

Mrs. Shewchuk sent me a photo of her holding up her bag and thanked us for the gift and informed us that it is already filled up with books.

One of her favourite things to do with her students is read to them. So, when we went to E-Learning, she recorded herself reading books so that she could still do that with her students...like I mentioned yesterday...she is an AWESOME TEACHER.

Teacher's End of School Card, Envelope & Tag

TJ's Grade 3 Teacher, Mrs. Shewchuk, is an amazing teacher. From the first time I met her, I knew she was truly doing her calling in life.

When the pandemic hit and we switched to E-Learning until the end of this school year, Mrs. Shewchuk went above and beyond to give her students the guidance they needed.

I always do holiday gifts and year end gifts for my children's Elementary School Teachers, but this year I really wanted to make TJ's teacher feel appreciated because of the interesting times that we are living in.

Fortunately, my parents are friends with Mrs. Shewchuk's parents and I was able to get my card & gift personally delivered.

The first two photos are the front & inside of my 6.5" x 5.5" card.

I used Doodlebug patterned papers with CTMH Glitter Paper, Bazzill cardstock & Copic paper.

I used Jaded Blossom's Caught a Virus Stamp Set for the masked virus image and CTMH's Teacher Appreciation Stamp Set for the sentiments.

I used The Greeting Farm's "Thank You" die, CC Design's Stitched Banner Die, MFT's Stitched Rectangle Regular & Scalloped Dies and EK Success' Zig Zag Border Punch.

Copic Markers: YG17, YG25 & B28.

You can't tell in the photo, but I used CTMH's Clear Shimmer Brush on the blue mask to give it a bit of sparkle.

TJ didn't want me to use googly eyes on this card because he likes the "cutie eyes"

The next two photos are of the envelope I made for the card.

I used Doodlebug's School Themed Stickers to spruce up the envelope.

The last two photos are of the front & back of the tag that I made for the bottle of wine that I bought for Mrs. & Mr. Shewchuk. Mr. Shewchuk also worked in my son's classroom as an Educational Assistant and participated in the Zoom Classes as well.

I cut the apple image and the word "ENJOY!" out with my Cricut Machine (Crispin Font) and the "SURVIVED" sentiment was printed out from my computer.
