Awesome Robot Card

I definitely was inspired by the colours and I immediately thought of this CTMH Robot Family stamp set. As for the boat, I don't own any boat stamp sets and once I had the robots stuck in my head....there was no turning back.

I made this card for my friend's son's 8th Birthday next month.

In a round about way, my robot (which represents technology) does fit in with the boat photo and this is how. While working on this card, I would step away to take a break. During one break I checked out facebook. I had family & friends away camping/fishing this weekend.

When I went on facebook, they were also on facebook while camping/fishing. So, I thought it was funny that they were away in the bush, but still using technology. So, to me, someone is lying in the bottom of that boat connected to the world wide web.

I used Close to My Heart's Topiary, Outdoor Denim, Desert Sand, Sunset, Autumn Terracotta and Sky cardstocks.

To embellish the card, I used CTMH's brads (discontinued), CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge (for the gear die-cuts) and CTMH's Chevron Embossing Folder.

I used My Creative Time's It's All About You stamp set (sentiments & chevron border); CTMH's Robot Family, Keyboard Uppercase (the number 8) and In Gear stamp sets with Topiary, Desert Sand, Outdoor Denim and Autumn Terracotta inks.

Starburst Santa Claus Gift Tag

I am participating in Sparkle's Creations Weekly Christmas Card Challenge #32 - Thinking Tags.

On Thursday night, I held a Christmas Card Workshop. While prepping the class this 3 x 3 Christmas Gift Tag came to me and I whipped it up before any of the participants arrived.

This tag ties into the Christmas Card that we made that night and from the Free Make 'n' Take that I offered last year. Both the card and the tag were made from using scrap pieces from last year's make 'n' take.

I used Close to My Heart's Sparkle & Shine Paper Packet with CTMH Juniper and Ruby cardstocks.

To embellish the tag, I used Spellbinder's Circle Nestability, Making Memories eyelet and red twine from Home Sense.

I used CTMH's Santa Claus, A Holiday, Glamour Lowercase and Cricut Artiste Collection Kudos stamp sets with CTMH Ruby, Juniper and Slate inks.

The two-sided patterned paper that I used on this card is discontinued, but I still have some individual sheets of this paper for sale.

Clean & Simple Masculine Card

This one I found difficult. One, I wanted to keep it clean & simple because that is outside my comfort zone and two, I wanted it to be masculine because I don't have many masculine cards in my stash.

I like it, my husband loves it!

I used Close to My Heart's Timberline and Skylark Paper Packets with CTMH Chocolate cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used CTMH's Stripe Embossing Folder, CTMH's Wooden Mini Medley Accents Collection (twine), Graphic 45 Chipboard Clock Button, Making Memories eyelets and a miscellaneous twine.

I used CTMH's All the Details and Joyful Birthdays stamp sets with CTMH Cocoa ink.

I am participating in Shopping Our Jingle Belles Stash Challenge and SOS Bonus Challenge with Jingle Belles. This is a combined challenge between Jingle Belles and Shopping Our Stash Challenge Blogs. You must make a Christmas/Winter/Holiday card using something that is at least one year's old in your stash.

I used Close to My Heart's Pear & Partridge Paper Packet (discontinued) with CTMH's New England Ivy cardstock and CTMH's Brown & Tan Glitter Paper.

To embellish the card, I used Prima Marketing Flowers, CTMH Bronze Glitter Gel (discontinued), CTMH Miscellaneous Ribbon (discontinued), CTMH's Artbooking Cricut Cartridge for the reindeer, Spellbinder's Petite Ovals & Petite Ovals Scalloped Nestabilities, Zig Zag Stitch on my sewing machine and CTMH's Scalloped border punch.

The patterned paper has been in my stash for at least 2 years as well as the inside sentiment stamp and glitter gel. The prima flowers are at least 5 years old. I think I got the ribbon in a CTMH Scrapbooking or Card Making Kit at least a year or so ago...definitely been discontinued for at least 6 months.

Sending Love Your Way Card

I missed the deadline for this challenge, but I had hoped to participate in Freshly Made Sketches #143 - A Sketch by Cindy L. Oh well, it was still fun to do.

I used Close to My Heart's Ariana and Skylark Paper Packets with CTMH's Ariana Grey and Ariana Green cardstocks.

To embellish the card, I used CTMH's Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut out the hearts, CTMH's Damask Embossing Folder, CTMH's Neutral Metallic Assortment Baker's Twine (removed the metallic), CTMH's Sponge Dauber and Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities.

To emboss the front of the card base, I used my Spellbinders' Grand Calibur machine. It is wide enough to take the CTMH's 5 x 7 embossing folders horizontally.

I used CTMH's Holiday Tags and Lifting Spirits stamp sets with CTMH's Slate and Black inks.
