Teacher & Bus Driver Canvas Bags 2019

For the end of my son's Grade 2 School Year (June 2019), I made canvas shopping bags for his teachers & bus driver.

I am most proud of the "atom" bag because I designed the atom myself.

These were the first projects that I made that I used my Easy Press 2.

The pencil bag is what made me start looking into light boards & once I got it...boy was weeding my projects much easier.

Be Kind Wreath

Close To My Heart is offering Wooden Wreath Kits this month as a promotion.

I chose to do the "Be Kind" Wreath.

The Wreath is 16 inches in diameter. You get 2 double sided 16 inch circle papers with the kit to choose as your background. That is the only thing that I used from the kit.

I used various gray patterned papers from CTMH for my hexagons & CTMH's gold foil paper. The black matte sequins are from Cartwright's.

The bumblebee is a SVG that I had in my files & I made the hexagon "frames" using Cricut's Hexagons.

I inked the wooden wreath with CTMH's Whisper & Chocolate inks to match the flooring in the main floor of my house & I used gray & gold papers to match my kitchen/dining room area because that is where I am hanging this wreath.

I rubbed my ink pads directly onto the wooden wreath. I used old ink pads because I figured the wood would chew up the ink pads a bit & it did. I also used paper towels to rub off the excess ink.

Bay Village Coffee Layout

Bay Village is one of my favourite, local coffee shops. One day when I was in their Court Street location, I saw that they had a pile of photos just sitting on a shelf in their coffee shop.

They had their friend's photo booth set up in their coffee shop for a few days for their customers to have some fun.

It killed me to see these photos just sitting there not being protected. So, I asked if I could take them & put them into an album for them.

I had some fun & "stole" some photos from their Facebook Page to do up a title page for the album. I did another simple layout for them, but the rest of the album was just 4 x 6 photos.

I used some Cricut vinyl & put a title on the front of the album & down the spine.

Grandma Chris' Birthday Card 2020

Today is my mother-in-law's birthday. We celebrated it 2 days ago on my husband's birthday. This is the 4 x 4 card that I made her.

I used Doodlebug's New Winter Wonderland 6 x 6 Paper Pad & Snowflake Acetate Die, CC Design's Stamps for the front of the card, Close To My Heart's New Scalloped Circle Thin Cut, MFT Thin Cuts & the inside sentiment was printed out from my computer.

Copic Markers: B24, RV55 & V15

Shanna's Birthday Card 2019

Above is the front of the card.
Above is the inside of the card.

I made this card for my best-friend's birthday in November.

She was having fun making cards with my outhouse stamp set...that I decided to make one for her.

This card was a lot of fun to make.

Jack's Pillow Case

I made this 20 x 20 pillow case for my 13 year old nephew, Jack.

I love how this pillow case turned out & so did he.

The pillow & pillow case is from IKEA. I used Cricut or Siser iron-on vinyl with my Cricut Explore Air 2 to cut my design & my Cricut Easy Press 2 to do the heat transfer.

The font is Cricut Sans. I believe the goalie mask & hockey puck images came from Etsy, but not exactly sure on where I bought those images.

My Aunt & Uncle Canvas Shopping Bags

Happy New Year 2020!

I know I have been away from my blog for over a year, but I am hoping to get back into posting on a more regular basis now that my concussion symptoms are some what under control...for now anyways.

So, for the next little while, you may see posts every day or two until I get back into the swing of things. Then I will probably start spacing them out to weekly. I just want to try & get back into the habit of remembering that I have a blog...so I will be posting more frequently right now.

I have done some creating during my hiatus from my blog...not a lot...but a little here & there. Some of my upcoming posts may look familiar...well that maybe because I had already posted photos of that project on Facebook.

I like to have my projects posted here as a reference & use my facebook as a secondary location to share my creativity.

I am still a paper crafter first...but I have been playing around with vinyl on my walls in my home, on pillowcases, shopping bags & such...so I will be sharing all kinds of crafty projects here.

I decided to start the New Year off with sharing two of my favourite Christmas Gifts that I made for my Aunt & Uncle...personalized reusable shopping bags.

I bought the plain canvas shopping bags from Michael's & used Cricut or Siser Vinyl. My vinyl bin isn't very organized as of yet.

My Auntie Pat's favourite Christmas movie is National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation...so I made her a Christmas themed bag.

My Aunt's significant other, Jim, hates hugs. I found this out about him a long time ago...so it became our thing. We can't see each other without Jim getting a Great Big Warm Hug from me...so I made him the Cactus themed bag.

I used the following fonts:
"In a World Full of" & "Be a Clark" - Ciscopic Font
"GRINCHES" - Animal Crackers Medium Font
"GRISWOLD" - Candish Font

All of the Cactus Bag is in Strawberry Dreams Alternate Font except for the word "HUGGER", it is done in the Bright Side Font.

I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 to cut out my design & my Cricut Easy Press 2 to heat transfer the iron-on vinyl to the canvas bags.
