It's my mom's birthday today and this is the card I made her. She loves butterflies and the colour blue. The photo does this card no justice, but we haven't had much sun lately and this was the best shot I could get in the lighting I had.
The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye Stella Rose Hattie 6 x 6 paper pad and Basic Grey's Marjolaine 6 x 6 paper pad and I used Bitter Chocolate Bazzill cardstock.
To embellish the card, I used We R Memory Keepers' Ribbon Tool to lace through the American Craft Ribbon. The brads are from Making Memories and I used the Standard Small Circle, Standard Large Circle & the Butterflies Circles Nestabilities for my die-cuts.
I am really loving the new We R Memory Keepers Sew Ribbon - Ribbon Tool. I also used it on my February Calendar Page and I find that this tool is fabulous for cards and layouts.
The main stamped image is Lulu Collection - Gertie from Stamping Bella. The "Happy Birthday" is from CTMH Happy Birthday stamp set and the sentiment is from Whipper Snapper.
Copic Markers used: Teal - BG72, G21 & C1; Green - YG95 & YG01; Blue - B97 & C6; Skin - R000 & R0000
We celebrated my mom's birthday at my grandparents' apartment on Sunday with a spaghetti supper and shuffle board. I stole my best-friend's (Shanna) spaghetti sauce recipe and made the sauce from scratch. Yes....ME! I prepared supper for my family on Sunday and it turned out great!
Love the card, been wondering about that ribbon tool...Lee-Ann :)
ReplyDeleteHomemade sauce...say it ain't so...there wasn't flax in there was there...Shanna hides that $#*% in everything :)
