Butterfly Cards

I am participating in Freshly Made Sketches #168 - A Sketch by Amy.

The Blue Butterfly Card was made for my mom's group gift card for her 60th Birthday Party last night.

My mom's favourite colour is blue, she loves butterflies and when I saw this sketch this card popped into my head.

I used Graphic 45 Botanical Tea 6 x 6 Paper Pad with Close to My Heart Bamboo cardstock.

I used Stampin' Up's 2001 Butterfly stamp, CTMH's Your Own Kind of Wonderful (happy birthday) stamp set and Lili of the Valley Sentiment stamp for the inside sentiment with CTMH Desert Sand ink & CTMH Sponge Dauber for distressing.

I made the second card because when I was making my mom's card in my very clean scrap space...NOT...I lost the butterfly image. When I was cleaning up, I found it and decided to make another card instead of recycling it.

 I am participating in Sparkle Creations' Weekly Christmas Card Challenges - Challenge #5 - Colour Challenge.

I used Lili of the Valley's Krafty Christmas 8 x 8 Paper Pad with Close to My Heart's Whisper & Slate cardstocks.

To embellish the card, I used CTMH's Scalloped Border Punch, CTMH's Sponge Dauber with CTMH Slate ink, CTMH's Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge (snowflake), CTMH Gold Sequins and Spellbinder's Circle Nestabilities.

I used an Inkadinkado bird stamp (no name on the stamp), The Stamp Barn Sentiment Stamp on the inside (no name on the stamp), CTMH's Snowflakes (snowflake) & Noel (front sentiment) stamp sets with CTMH Slate ink.

Color My Heart Challenge Blog - Color Dare #125

This week at Color My Heart Challenge Blog our Color Dare #125 is to use Close to My Heart Colors: Cranberry, Glacier, White Daisy, Black & Whisper. All of these colours are in the Close to My Heart Snowhaven Paper Packet.

I used Close to My Heart's Snowhaven Paper Packet with CTMH Cranberry & Whisper cardstocks.

To embellish the Picture My Life & 12 x 12 layout, I used CTMH's Red Enamel Hearts, CTMH Corner Rounder, Martha Stewart Snowflake border punch (for the small snowflake on the banner), CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge for 2015 and CTMH's Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge for the title.

I used CTMH's Fabulous You (Forever Friends) stamp set with Staz On Jet Black ink to stamp on the photo.

You may use any products to participate in the Color My Heart Challenges, but we encourage you to use CTMH products. For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.

Throw Back Thursdays

Starting today, every second Thursday I am going to use discontinued Close to My Heart stamp sets, embellishments and papers on a project to share with you.

Here is the card I made for my husband, Trevor's 40th Birthday for his group gift that family & friends went in on for his birthday. 

We bought him a high tech remote control 4 x 4 truck.

I would have included a photo of his truck, but it hasn't arrived as of yet. For his birthday party, I wrapped up a photo of the truck with his new battery charger and batteries.

I used Close to My Heart's Cashmere & Kraft cardstocks.

To embellish the card, I used CTMH's Mini Stapler, CTMH's Artbooking Cricut Cartridge for the Arrow, CTMH Sponge Dauber with CTMH Cocoa ink and a toothpick from my kitchen.

I used CTMH's Maximum Power (discontinued), Promotional Alphabet with No Name (40 - discontinued) and Holiday Tags (Happy Birthday) stamp sets with CTMH Cashmere & Cocoa inks.

Happy 40th Birthday Trevor!

This is the 40th Birthday Card that I made for my husband, Trevor, from my daughter, son, our pug and myself.

The photo is of the first snowman that my son, TJ, and Trevor built together this winter.

I used My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Dilly Dally "Curious" Planks Paper with a Bazzill Blue carstock.

To embellish the card, I used ribbon from Vintage Pixie, a Martha Stewart Snowflake border punch and Ranger Onyx Liquid Pearls.

I used Close to My Heart's Snowflakes stamp set with CTMH Slate ink on the inside of the card.

To embellish the card, I used My Mind's Eye Cut & Paste Enamel Dots and Simple Stories Legacy Enamel Dots.

I used CTMH's Marquee Uppercase Alphabet (40), Holiday Tags (happy birthday), Doodled Designs (circle on the front) and Banner Wishes (inside Happy Birthday) stamp sets and My Creative Time It's All About You (UR Amazing & Sending Big Huge Hugs) stamp set with CTMH Outdoor Denim ink.
