Color My Heart Challenge Blog - Color Dare #126

 

This week at Color My Heart Challenge Blog our Color Dare #126 is to use Close to My Heart Colors: Champagne, Bamboo & Black. 

I used Close to My Heart's Champagne, Bamboo & Black cardstocks.

To embellish the card, I used a CTMH Spray Pen filled with water to spray my cardstock, bunch it up into a ball and then flatten out with an iron. I also used a CTMH Sponge Dauber with Black ink to distress the edges.

I used CTMH's Amour, Forever in My Heart and In the Background stamp sets with CTMH Champagne, Bamboo & Black inks.

You may use any products to participate in the Color My Heart Challenges, but we encourage you to use CTMH products. For this Color Dare Challenge, you have until Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time to submit your project.

This is the 40th Birthday Card that I made for my friend, Karen.

I used BoBunny's Midnight Frost Collection 6 x 6 Paper Pack with a Bazzill Blue cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used CTMH's Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut out the snowflake, Don Juan Cricut Cartridge for the 40, CTMH Sponge Dauber with CTMH Outdoor Denim ink and My Mind's Eye Cut & Paste Enamel Dots.

I used CTMH's You're the Bomb, Your Own Kind of Wonderful and Handwritten Print Alphabet stamp sets with CTMH Outdoor Denim & Indian Corn Blue inks.

During my crop, I will be offering this Free Make 'n' Take and I thought I would open it up to anyone who would like to come and make one.

I used Close to My Heart's White Daisy Card Base and cut it down to a 4.25" square.

I hand drew the black squiggly lines with CTMH's Marvy Uchida LePen Black Journaling Pen.

I used CTMH's Love Ya Silly & Doodled Designs stamp sets with CTMH Cranberry, Lagoon & Black inks.

Terrific Tag Tuesday - Post #1

Terrific Tag Tuesday

Starting today, every second Tuesday I am going to be posting tags.

Here are some quick and simple, but fun tags that I have made in the last little while.

For the 40th Birthday Blue Tags, I used Close to My Heart's Doodled Designs, Handwritten Print Alphabet & Holiday Tags stamp sets with CTMH Black ink on cardstock from my scrap bin.

I wrapped the gift in newsprint paper from our local newspaper office and tied a piece of Raffia around the gift that matched the tag.

For the Valentine's Day Tag, I used CTMH's Doodled Designs and Mini Valentine stamp sets with CTMH Black ink and CTMH's Heartstrings Paper Packet.

For the Thank You Tag, I used CTMH's Doodled Designs Stamp Set and Variety of Thanks - Hostess Stamp Set with CTMH Black ink and Yuletide Carol Paper Packet.

For the Make a Wish Tag, I used Doodled Designs and Wish stamp sets with CTMH Black ink and CTMH's Brushed Paper Packets.

Good Cheer Christmas Card

I am participating in Sparkle Creations Weekly Christmas Card Challenge #6 - Case a DT Member's Card. I chose Design Team Member, Carol's Card.

I used Close to My Heart's Snowhaven paper packet with CTMH Glacier & Cranberry cardstocks.

To embellish the card, I used CTMH's Neutral Assortment Baker's Twine, MFT's Stitched Oval Stax and Spellbinder's Oval & Scalloped Oval Nestabilities. 

I used CTMH's Snowhaven Cardmaking Workshop and Perfect Fit - Holidays stamp sets with CTMH Black ink.

This card also fits with Color My Heart Challenge Blog - Color Dare #125 - Cranberry, Glacier, White Daisy, Black & Whisper.

Butterfly Cards

I am participating in Freshly Made Sketches #168 - A Sketch by Amy.

The Blue Butterfly Card was made for my mom's group gift card for her 60th Birthday Party last night.

My mom's favourite colour is blue, she loves butterflies and when I saw this sketch this card popped into my head.

I used Graphic 45 Botanical Tea 6 x 6 Paper Pad with Close to My Heart Bamboo cardstock.

I used Stampin' Up's 2001 Butterfly stamp, CTMH's Your Own Kind of Wonderful (happy birthday) stamp set and Lili of the Valley Sentiment stamp for the inside sentiment with CTMH Desert Sand ink & CTMH Sponge Dauber for distressing.

I made the second card because when I was making my mom's card in my very clean scrap space...NOT...I lost the butterfly image. When I was cleaning up, I found it and decided to make another card instead of recycling it.

To embellish the card, I used CTMH's Scalloped Border Punch, CTMH's Sponge Dauber with CTMH Slate ink, CTMH's Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge (snowflake), CTMH Gold Sequins and Spellbinder's Circle Nestabilities.

I used an Inkadinkado bird stamp (no name on the stamp), The Stamp Barn Sentiment Stamp on the inside (no name on the stamp), CTMH's Snowflakes (snowflake) & Noel (front sentiment) stamp sets with CTMH Slate ink.
