S'more better every day....

Here is a Get Well Soon card that I made for a very special person in my life.

I used My Mind's Eye Boy Crazy 6 x 6 Paper Pad with BoBunny Shittake, Burnt Orange & Khaki Double Dot cardstocks.

To embellish the card, I used CTMH Buttons (discontinued), Stampin' Up Ribbon, embroidery floss from my stash and Spellbinders Labels Two Nestabilities. 

I used Peachy Keen Burnt Out Camping Racoon and PKSC-29 May 2014 stamp sets and Lawn Fawn Love You S'more stamp set with CTMH Cocoa ink and Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I used the following Copic Markers: E40, E43, E44, E47, E49, E99, YR24, YR27, W6, W7 & W8.

Color My Heart Color Dare #114

This week at Color My Heart Challenge Blog our Color Dare #114 is to use Goldrush, Honey, Crystal Blue & Pacifica.

I am also participating in Freshly Made Sketches #157 - A Sketch by Amy.

I used Close to My Heart's Pacifica, Goldrush, Crystal Blue & Honey cardstocks.

To embellish the card, I used CTMH's Artiste Cricut Cartridge to cut out the Gears, CTMH's Brads (discontinued) and CTMH's Honeycomb, Arrow & Chevron Embossing Folders. I also used Copic Marker B37 to colour in the dark blues on the robot.

I used CTMH's Robot Family, In Gear & Just to Say...(comes with Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge) stamp sets with CTMH Goldrush & Black inks.

Canada Day Layout for G & G Cringle

I used Scrapbook Customs Canada Sightseeing Patterned Paper with Bazzill Blush Red Dark & White Prismatic cardstocks.

To embellish the 8 x 8 layout, I used CTMH's Mini Stapler, Stampin' Up Ribbon, BoBunny & Basic Grey Buttons and embroidery floss from my stash.

I used CTMH's Sweet & Lovely (comes with Artbooking Cricut Cartridge) stamp set with CTMH Black ink for the journal tag.

For the Album Label, I used CTMH's Atomic Caps (Digby - discontinued), Zoology (dotted line), Scroll Album Workshop (family - discontinue) and Family is Forever - September Stamp of the Month 2014 (heart - discontinued) with CTMH Black ink.

Prior to my pregnancy with TJ, every year in February I would begin to make calendars for certain family members for Christmas. For instance, I highlighted our favourite moments of 2010 for their 2011 Calendar.

Most of the family members that received one of these calendars live far away from us and it was a way of them not missing moment's in our lives; especially the children's milestones. 

Since my bed rested pregnancy with TJ, I have not been able to get back to my calendars because it's been one chaotic event after another, but I wanted to do something for these special people in our lives.

My brilliant best friend, Shanna, said why don't you just make up random 8 x 8 layouts for them like you are doing for your grandparents. I loved the idea. 

So, here is the first layout that I made for Trevor's grandparents. They leave soon for the winter to warmer climate, so we gave them their Christmas gift early.

To embellish the card, I used CTMH's Scaredy Cat Assortment (stars), CTMH's Scalloped Border Punch and the zig zag stitch on my sewing machine with black thread from FabricLand.

I used CTMH's Trick or Treat Sweets (witch), A Budding Friendship (flowers), Perfect Fit - Halloween (Happy Halloween & Trick or Treat), Creepy Creatures (bats) and Choose Happy - March Stamp of the Month (frame) stamp sets with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and CTMH's Black ink.

I used the following CTMH's ShinHan Touch Alcohol Markers: GY234 - Leaf Green, YR24 - Marigold, P83 - Lavender, 120 - Black, Y222 - Golden Yellow and WG4 - Warm Grey.

Typewriter 90th Birthday Card

Here is the 90th Birthday Card that I made for my Great Auntie Grace from me and my family.

I used Close to My Heart's Seaside and Chalk It Up Paper Packets with CTMH Cocoa cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used a CTMH Sponge Dauber with Cocoa ink.

I used CTMH's Typed Note - April Stamp of the Month, Vintage Type, Vogue Alphabet & Family is Forever - September Stamp of the Month with CTMH's Cocoa ink.

I like details in my card that not everyone would necessarily pick up on. On the front of the card at the top, the first border letter is "G" for Grace. At the bottom, the last border letter is "Y" for Young. Her name is Grace Young.

Happy World Card Making Day!

I made this fun action wobble card for my Great Auntie Grace's 90th Birthday. This card was actually made for my grandparents to give to my Aunt. Grace is my grandma's sister.

I used Close to My Heart's Brushed Paper Packet with CTMH Hollyhock & Black cardstocks.

To embellish the card, I used CTMH's Black Sparkles, CTMH's Scalloped Border Punch, CTMH's Marvy Journaling Pen for the faux stitching, Zig Zag Stitch on my sewing machine with Black Thread from FabricLand and an Action Wobble to make my front sentiment swing back & forth.

I used CTMH's Hats Off - Hostess Rewards, Youthful Heart (discontinued), Love This, Card Word Puzzle (discontinued) & Vogue Alphabet stamp sets with CTMH Black ink.

Yes, I purposely used the word "Amazing" on the inside of the card because her name is Grace.

To embellish my 8 x 8 Layout for my grandparents, I used CTMH's Chevron Border Punch, CTMH's Stripe Embossing Folder, Buttons from Michaels, DMC #927 Embroidery Floss, Stampin' Up Hexagon Punch and Stampin' Up's Real Red Marker.

I used CTMH's Fast & Furious stamp set with CTMH Glacier, Canary & Cranberry inks.
