You Glow Girl!

Big pat on my back! I have bought 3 or 4 pregnancy stamps/stamp sets and I have never made the time to use them, but that changed this weekend.

My best friend's sister is pregnant and Shanna is very excited about becoming an Aunt again and I am excited for her and her sister as well. Shanna's parents and sister came to town this weekend and we all went to the Oliver Road Community Centre's Winter Carnival.

So, if I was going to make her a card, it had to be done for this weekend because it was the first time that I have seen her since she announced her pregnancy. I love how the card turned out, so I made one for my stash as well.

I used My Mind's Eye Vanity Fair 6 x 6 paper pack with Bazzill Fire Hearts cardstock.

To embellish the card, I used Stampin' Up ribbon, the zig zag stitch on my sewing machine, an EK Success border punch, EK Success small corner rounder & Labels Fourteen Nestability.

The stamps used on this card are Kraftin' Kimmie's Caroline & Every Day Sentiments.

Copic Markers used: Hair - E35, E37 & E34; Skin - R000 & R0000

Valentine's Day Card 2012 - Final Instalment

Here is the last of my Valentine's Day cards.

I have been working on my workshops for my store. I was pulling papers from the store for my July calendar page workshop and I needed one more sheet of one of the papers. So, I thought that maybe I had kept some of this paper for myself.

I headed down to my disaster of a scrap room and couldn't find any papers from this particular line, but I was fed up. So, I began the 3 day long paper organizing project. My scrap room had turned into a disaster due to my pregnancy. I had been so sick that I was unable to do much in my room, but get what had to be done. So, remnants from workshops and new stuff that I wanted for myself had just piled up everywhere in my room.

With that said, my papers have never been properly organized since I opened my store 8 years ago. Now I have organized my 12 cubes of individual sheets of papers into appropriate categories. I must really like BoBunny because I have a cube and a half filled with BoBunny papers. I also cleaned up my space and put everything away.....well for now. There is still some more organizing to do, but I do need to get my workshops designed.

So, why am I telling you all of this....well, during my clean up I found the papers that I used on my Valentine's Day cards in this post.

It's an old Heidi Grace paper line and I was able to make 31 cards with what I had and I still have two sheets of papers left. The cardstock is Bazzill Passionate (appropriate for Valentine's Day) and Black Prismatic.

The brads are from my stash and I used one of EK Success' border punches to embellish the front of this card.

The front sentiment stamp is from CTMH's Thoughtful Tidings (February Stamp of the Month) stamp set and the inside sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie's Holiday Sentiments stamp set.

The die-cut that the front sentiment is on was cut out from CTMH's Cricut Cartridge - Art Philosophy. On the stamp set it says to cut the label out at 1 inch, but I cut it out at 1.25 inches because I used one of the decorative layers.

Forty & Paws-itively Fabulous!

It was my girlfriend, Krista's, 40th Birthday earlier this month and my girlfriends and I got together for lunch & an afternoon of scrapbooking. We all went in on a birthday gift for her and this was the card I made her from all of us.

I used BoBunny Passion Fruit Double Dot paper with patterned papers from BoBunny's Sweet Tooth 6 x 6 paper pad. The cardstock is Rose Red from Stampin' Up and the pink glitter paper is from Best Creations.

To embellish the card, I used Stampin' Up Subtles Glimmer Brads & Pink Stickles. The die-cuts were cut out with Classic Ovals Large & Labels Eighteen Nestabilities and EK Success circle punches.

The main image & dog reference sentiments were from Kraftin' Kimmie's Canine Capers 1 & 2 stamp sets. The "FORTY" was stamped out with CTMH's Atomic Caps alphabet stamp set. The "&" sign was stamped with CTMH's Hodgepodge alphabet stamp set and the "Happy Birthday" stamp came from CTMH's Party Pennants stamp set. The sentiments were stamped with Stampin' Up's Purely Pomegranate ink.

Copic Markers used: Dog - YR0000; Dog's Nose - E57 & E55; Dark Pink - R85 & R81; Light Pink - R81; Background - R81 & RV21

Snowman Birthday Card

After making my Glitter Snowman Birthday Card, I decided to come up with a similar design using the same image stamp and paper line. I ended up making 6 of these cards.

The patterned papers are from BoBunny's Snowfall 6 x 6 paper pad and the cardstock is Bazzill Avalanche & Truffle and Stampin' Up Not Quite Navy.

To embellish the card, I used American Craft Denim Embossing Powder, We R Memory Keepers Neutral Painted Brads, Bazzill Mini Brads, Stampin' Up Whisper White 1/4 inch Grosgrain Ribbon and Prima Marketing White Flowers.

I used the Zutter Distrezz-it-All to rough up the edges of my papers and the Deckled Edge Classic Oval Large & Labels Eighteen Nestabilities for my die-cuts.

The snowman image is from Kraftin' Kimmie - A Cup of Cozy Wishes!, the "Happy Birthday" is from CTMH's Happy Birthday stamp set and the inside sentiment is from CC Designs Best Birthday Wishes stamp set.

Glitter Snowman Birthday Card

I have to take a break from my personal challenge of using the SEI Corinne 6 x 6 paper pack. I need to get my Valentine's Day cards & Spring Workshops for the store designed by the end of this weekend. So, keep an eye out. I have at least two more card designs before my personal challenge is complete.

I had a lot of fun making this card. One, I used a stamp that is normally used for Christmas cards to make a Birthday card. Two, most of this card was made from the leftover pieces from my January Calendar Page. Three, it was made for a very good friend of mine who loves glitz. Four, I normally have a very difficult time with adding glitz to my projects, but this time it turned out quite well....if I do say so myself.

The patterned papers are from BoBunny Snowfall Cut Outs 12 x 12 paper, BoBunny Snowfall 6 x 6 paper pad and Basic Grey Little Black Dress 6 x 6 paper pad. The cardstock is Bazzill Truffle and the Sky Blue Glitter paper is from Best Creations Inc.

The tools I used are the Petite Scalloped Ovals Large, Petite Ovals Small & Petite Ovals Large Nestabilities and one of Bazzill's Stitchz Border Templates.

To embellish the card, I used Turquoise & Copper Stickles and We R Memory Keepers Mermaid Glitter Fancy Floss.

The snowman stamp is from Kraftin' Kimmie - A Cup of Cozy Wishes!, the sentiment on the front of the card is from CC Designs Best Birthday Wishes stamp set, the "Happy" on the inside of the card is from CC Designs Big Words stamp set and the "Birthday" is from CC Designs Handy Additions stamp set.

Copic Markers used: B95, B97, BG72, BG78, C00, E23, E57 & E59.
